Euro 2012 at Roxy Bar & Screen
Head down for big screen footie (and cocktails for the missus)
Listings
So you're a huge footie fiend - or dating one - and you've always
wanted to watch a game on a really big screen? How about the Roxy Bar
and Screen in London bridge who are screening all the Euro 2012 matches
in their comfy cinema?
Either take a seat in the back, on a big back-side-swallowing sofa, to watch the live HD screenings on the main 4 metre wide screer, or make use of the sometimes less crowded bar out front with the HD TV. This works well for games that are played at the same time or for spending the night with a group of people with mixed, or divided opinions.
As Roxy is just down the road from Itchy we're quite happy to pop in and can speak very highly of their cocktails and service. Films are great fun, whether it's a busy night or not, and it's always happily crowded. The mood for Euro 2012 promises to be divisive (isn't all football?) but good-natured.
For those Itchy-lovers who aren't big on 'the game' but want to make someone else happy, the first fixture is on Friday 8 - Poland versus Greece - and the first England game is on Monday 11, but be warned, it's against France. And Roxy is only taking limited booking and area reservations so get on to them now if you're super keen. They've got a whole list of games on their website, so you can organise the next month... Or two if England actually do well...
